Are you dreaming of moving to the countryside and enjoying a simpler, more peaceful life? If so, don't watch Trigrad.

Like all lonely villages, Trigrad is far from relaxing. It's full of strange occurrences, unwelcoming locals, old wives' tales, and buried secrets. It's one of those places where people speak to avoid disclosing their thoughts, and where looks and silences speak loudly and unambiguously. It's full of eccentric characters, and yet it is the obscure — the inconspicuous, the hazy, the overlooked — that plays the leading role. Much like one's subconscious, Trigrad's dark, primeval forests are easy to get lost in.

The 8-part series, directed by Sonja Prosenc, features an outstanding cast spearheaded by Marko Mandić and Katarina Stegnar, sumptuous photography by Mitja Ličen, and an original score by Silence.

Following Morning (2013) and History of Love (2018), Trigrad marks the third collaboration between Prosenc and Silence.
