Brezno (The Abyss) chronicles the 2013 banking crisis in Slovenia and provides a detailed account of the most audacious fraud in the history of the country. Under the direction of the European Central Bank, the Bank of Slovenia artificially inflated the required amount of bailout funds in order to conduct a large-scale sale of the country's banks, companies, and assets. As Bertolt Brecht once noted: What is robbing a bank compared to founding it? The film features music by Silence.
